BJUT International Exchanges is a functional organization responsible for schoolwork related to foreign affairs and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs. It is designated to carry out national foreign policies and educational policies in relation to foreign affairs. It bears double duty of administrative management and foreign affairs services. It aims at improving international cooperation, development of university within the scope of national foreign policies and leadership of BJUT.
Since the Open Door police was released in 1978, BJUT started to develop international cooperation smoothly and has set up partnership with many top universities and organizations worldwide. Those universities and organization are mainly from Unite States, British, Japan, German, France, Canada, Nederland, Korea, etc. BJUT invites more one hundred international experts to present lectures and cooperative researches each year.Also BJUT sends staff to oversea partnership universities for short period visits, academic visits, joint researches, international conferences more 200 person-times. Furthermore, BJUT send exchange students to and receive exchanges students from partnership universities. In addition, BJUT has set up joint education program with Unite State and Australia universities. BJUT also hosts more than 400 foreign students person-times each year.
BJUT University International Exchanges consists of International Exchanges Office, International Student¡¯s Office, Office of Teaching Affair for International Programs and Housing Service and Maintenance Office. Every office is to work in coordination with other offices. Their duties are as follows:
Duty of International Exchanges Office
1£®To manage, instruct and assort with international cooperation and activities on behalf of BJUT.
2. To host foreign visitors in accordance with inter-university agreements£¬other school leaders and Multi-National Corporations .
3. To offer consultation, manage application procedures and passport to those who intend to go aboard with passport for public affairs and exchange students.
4. To recruit and manage the employment of long-term foreign experts, to arrange for their visa, residence, extension, credential renewal; to plan weekend activities and vacations, and to summarize the teaching and foreign affairs.
5. To apply and manage the institute of joint researches and joint education programs
6. To recruit, educate and manage international students
7. To provide suggestions to university international affair decision. To make regulations and policies on university¡¯s international affairs. |
