Dr. ZHAOMIAO LIU was born in June of 1970. She gained the bachelor's degree
of applied mechanics from Department of Mathematics and Mechanics in Jilin Univ-
ersity in July of 1992. She got the MS degree of computational mechanics from Department of Mathematics and Mechanics in Jilin University in July of 1995. In
July of 1998, she obtained Ph.D. degree from Department of Mechanical and Elect-
rical Engineering in Beijing Institute of Technology. She joined Department of
Engineering Mechanics at School of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electroni-
cs Technology in Beijin Polytechnic University from July of 1998, and her curre-
nt academic position is associate professor.

She has lectured widely at Theoretical Mechanics, Engineering Fluid Dynamics,
Computational Structure Dynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Numerical Si-
mulation on Combustions. Her research interests focus in the area of Computatio-
nal Fluid Dynamics, Nonlinear Dynamics,Coating Process and Micro-scale Fluid

namics. She got the financial supports from National Natural Science Fund, China Pure Science Ascent Project (China 973 Pr-
oject), Beijing Natural Science Fund, Beijing Science and Technology Committee Development Project, and Beijing Education
Committee Development Project etc. She is an author of more than 30 scientific papers.

She was chosen in Beijing New Stars¡¯ Training Project of Science and Technology through academic appraisal in 2002. She
was also a visiting scholar of Engineering Fluid Mechanics and Tribology Research Group of School of Mechanical Engineering
in Leeds University in UK from September of 2004 to September of 2005, under support by China Scholarship Council.
